Dear Miners, we strongly recommend you DON’T UPGRADE your S9 devices with the new Bitmain firmware. It is not compatible with BIP310 standard and as a result also not compatible with @slush_pool. We are working hard on providing our own fix asap and will keep you posted.

Bitcoin – The Currency of the Internet

Muslim clerics just declared that owning bitcoin was compatible with Islam. A saudi just opened another $100 million dollar bitcoin fund as a result. The new flood of money coming in will dwarf all previous inflows.

Bitcoin – The Currency of the Internet

datadir compatible between 0.14.0 and 0.14.1

I have a raspberry pi with bitcoin core (0.14.1, self compiled) and a macOS system with bitcoin core (0.14.0, binary from bitcoin.org). I am storing the blockchain (complete datadir) on an external hard drive. Can I expect to plug this hard drive in my macOS system, sync it and later plug it into my raspberry without having any problems?

Which wallet libraries officially intend to use Bech32 addresses, and will the addresses generated by them be compatible?

I use several bitcoin wallets, and I would like to try Bech32 addresses when they come out.

I initially thought to make a GitHub issue for Greenbits, but it seemed more appropriate to just ask such a specific question here:

https://github.com/greenaddress/GreenBits/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=bech32&type=

Everyone’s favorite search engine is not exactly forthcoming for this:

If the answer is “none yet”, that’s fine, but I’d love to know.
