For those who weren't around to witness the Pinapple Fund, you should learn about the Pineapple Fund. Tonight I'm raising a glass in thanks to u/PineappleFund and their generosity.
Pineapple Fund was an experiment in philanthropy with cryptocurrency wealth. What happens when your 'play-money' becomes a treasure chest, and you're past the satiety point of money?
I decided to donate the majority of my cryptocurrency to charities around the world, with an open application process and funding charities big and small. I focused on causes I believe in, or causes I know will work from my experiences.
Timed with the 2017 crypto bubble, 5104 BTC was turned into $ 55 million for charities. I'm happy and proud of the impact that will come, mostly thanks to the amazing charities and the dedicated people behind them.
I'm going to remain anonymous, because the point of the Pineapple Fund is not me. I consider this project a success. If you're ever blessed with crypto fortune, consider supporting what you aspire our world to be 🙂

Today the price of Bitcoin — $ 19,783 last December — is $ 3,810. Litecoin was $ 366 a coin; it's now $ 30. Ethereum was $ 1,400 in January; today it's …
Google Alert – bitcoin
Today I used Bitpay to buy a TV from a retailer in my area and since I use a Trezor and Samurai Wallet my wallet is unable to decode their payment and since they don't just show an address and sum I need to use this tool to extract that information.
Bitpay in it's payment would've made me pay 6.956 sat/b but instead I paid 1.357 sat/b and it got confirmed 28 min or 2nd block since creation. Bitpay and it deceptive measures with fees is directly tied to rogers, jihans, fakesatoshis bshit.
I don't why roger would say that 2 cents is to much and have a big say in a service that suggest you pay 5x that.
I also noticed that the address I was going to send the Satoshis to is an address that already has been used and spent from… which has it downsides.
Tons of great causes were donated bitcoin, and it helped improve the image of bitcoin during the last bull run, and straight up made it more fun. Let's hope more long time bitcoin hodlers will follow that example. There's no doubt that it increases joy and morale in Bitcoin. Go out and micro-donate some mbtc to newcomers if you can. We're very insulated here in r/bitcoin and in reality too many people still think btc is only used on the dark web. We still have to change the perception. Happy hodling (and sharing)
