Muslim clerics just declared that owning bitcoin was compatible with Islam. A saudi just opened another $100 million dollar bitcoin fund as a result. The new flood of money coming in will dwarf all previous inflows.

Bitcoin – The Currency of the Internet

Warning! When googling Blockchain you get a fake phishing ad as the first result

Proof: https://imgur.com/a/4n8O0

I just moved to Spain and wanted to check on my wallet from a new PC. I just googled Blockchain for fast access and thank god I noticed that the website was spelled differently. I would have never thought that google would show me a fake phishing site as a first result for a popular website.

Just be careful when trying to access Blockchain or any other crypto wallet through a link or google and don't forget to HODL.

P.S I do not have any adware or malware on my computer.

*The result* of giving bitcoin to the poor.

I originally created this thread which brought up a good number of points from the people who posted. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4yvhk0/how_will_bitcoin_get_to_the_poor/

I think one conclusion that seems to be consistently drawn about Bitcoin is that its success will be related to the number of people using it. I think the concept of giving bitcoin away is still interesting because of the potential for more people to use it. Simply giving it away to "help the poor" might not be a good reason (teach a person to fish vs give him the fish principal) as discussed in the previous thread. Perhaps giving it away to undermine the current fiat system is. This would require educating the poor about bitcoin, ie education/teaching.

I'd like to discuss what effect if any, would giving out a large number of bitcoin in small increments to millions (perhaps billions) of individuals around the world have? Could this be a faster track to wider bitcoin adoption, and how could a faster track to educating others around the world about bitcoin be accomplished?

ALERT: The SECOND result for “bitcoin wallet” on the Apple Store is a SCAM wallet that went live a few days ago. We have to get it removed, this is very important and can hurt people.

Guys, we have to get this removed. It's called "Bitcoin Wallet" and they're imitating "Bitcoin Wallet" that's on Android (this wallet isn't officially on iOS as confirmed by the developer)

The description of the wallet shows pictures of the Android version of it, however once you download the wallet it's a reskinned one based off the breadwallet source code (the description screenshots don't even match what it really looks like, how it functions). There was a user here who reported funds stolen with it.

Do NOT use this wallet and help get it removed!! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bitcoin-wallet/id1137555856?mt=8

Edit: there was news that 8 wallets, infringing on copyrights, all went live the past two days and with them all looking the same except for logo changes: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4w77sq/important_multiple_fake_wallets_making_it_to_the/
