Fiat money is essentially proof-of-stake where the ones with most stake run the full nodes (banks) and everybody else runs SPV. Whatever changes to consensus (money supply) we just have to accept. Our choice is to hard fork this system and start a new currency.

Bitcoin – The Currency of the Internet

We need to stop talking about price and start talking about adoption.

This community really needs to get its stuff together. Every day I see people losing it over the price of bitcoin going down. The price of bitcoin is tied to how many people are using it and how useful it is. The fact of the matter is that if adoption is not going up price will not either

Bitcoin – The Currency of the Internet

One year ago my manager said “No way in hell this investment firm will trade bitcoin”. Today my manager said that we will start soon!

I don't want to disclose any names, but I am really happy! I can finally understand something at work! A company came in to educate directors and management about digital asset trading and they agree'd to start by testing the waters on bitcoin. I know its not a big deal because there are bigger players in the game but the more the better! Its a small-mid investment firm with $ 1 billion capital. I loved how it took one year for my manager to change his mind.

Lightning nodes are getting DDOS’ed, rumor is that someone from the 2x effort known as “BitPico” has taken credit for this. The Lightning services I’ve deployed have been attacked from the start, with botnets, etc. Deploying in adversarial conditions, decentralization is hard.

“The barriers to entry for tech are very low compared to any other professional field. Male or female, you can make it without a CS degree, with no initial capital costs other than a computer, and all the material you need to learn and start practicing is freely available online.”
