I took a trip with some friends to a sleepy rural town in Japan, hours outside of Tokyo. We entered a cafe and were surprised to see that they accepted bitcoin. Here is my friend buying a chocolate cake.

Bitcoin – The Currency of the Internet

Trace Mayer: “I would not be surprised if this current Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin XT, Bitcoin Classic…is funded by or is some kind of government sponsored attack on the Bitcoin network, and they’re not getting very much traction.”

I’m surprised more porn sites don’t accept Bitcoin

I was thinking about sites like X-art. They're a legit, credit-card accepting business, but I don't want to ever give that information to a porn site because of the stigma and because of the possible leakage of data (e.g., I'm not married but Ashely Madison should wake people up). In the future if we have one-use credit card numbers I'd be more inclined, but right now Bitcoin seems like a great solution to privacy when using a legal, honestly classy, service.
